40th Birthday Break
Taking a couple of weeks off...
Tomorrow I reach the big 40.
40 years of trying to work out what this ‘life’ thing is all about, and I think I might finally be getting the hang of it.
As part of the celebrations, my dear husband and I will be making a short trip to stay in one of our favourite places, and also making some time to see my parents who live 4+ hours from us.
Flash Friday is therefore taking a break for today and Friday next (17th), but will return with another original flash fiction story for you on 24th July.
Hopefully by then the current (and third so far this year) UK heatwave will have dissipated, and we won’t all still be slowly melting on our little island. Seriously, it’s the humidity which does it.
To all my readers and subscribers, a big birthday thank you to you all for your continuing support and for simply reading my words - you guys are the best birthday present of all.
