Time for a holiday break...
MERRY CHRISTMAS to all my wonderful subscribers and readers!
And if Christmas isn’t your thing, or if this time of year is especially hard for you, then I send my warmest greetings of the season to you.
Christmas in our household will be a little different this year, for various family-related reasons, so my thoughts and feelings around this festive time are taking more of a quieter, introspective path. The companionable silence of sitting together reading, sharing hearty meals together, and counting our blessings somehow seem more important than ever this year.
And with 2025 now drawing to a close, I’m also reflecting that this has been the first full calendar year of sharing my writing via the Substack platform. That’s definitely a cause for celebration and a sense of achievement.
I’m taking a break now for a couple of weeks from Flash Friday releases, so the first tale of 2026 will go live on Friday 9th January at 15:00 BST as usual.
Let me end by sending my very best wishes to you all, and a truly heartfelt thank you for all your support throughout the year.
